Cotte D’Armes, the independent fashion label helmed by Clarence Ruth, returned to the New York Fashion Week stage with its Spring/Summer 2025 collection.

The collection, a partially unisex offering, was a testament to Cotte D’Armes’ commitment to pushing boundaries. The brand’s dedication to sustainability was evident in the use of upcycled fabrics and materials, accounting for a remarkable 85% of the pieces showcased.

Functionality was another key theme in the collection. Detachable pants and removable sleeves demonstrated the brand’s focus on practicality, ensuring that each piece could be adapted to various occasions and personal styles. The unisex designs, comprising nearly half of the collection, further emphasized Cotte D’Armes’ inclusive approach to fashion.

Drawing inspiration from Clarence Ruth’s upbringing in the church, the collection incorporated the color red to symbolize the blood of Christ. The chameleon-printed suit served as a powerful metaphor, representing the human tendency to adapt to different environments.
