For its Fall/Winter 2025 campaign, Casablanca turns its gaze to the rhythms of everyday life in Japan. This collection is the result of Creative Director Charaf Tajer’s two decades of observation, a respectful exploration of the country’s traditions, cultures, and modern rituals that meets the brand’s own signature style. It is an homage to the spirit of Japan, seen through a Parisian lens.

Shot in Tokyo by Theo Liu, the campaign feels like a collection of stolen moments. The camera finds authenticity in a variety of settings: a family sharing a meal on tatami mats, a young woman in an embellished skirt surrounded by the kawaii objects of her youth, a professional hailing a taxi under Shinjuku’s gleaming towers. It also captures the energy of a night out in Harajuku, including the distinctive interiors of a ‘love hotel’.

A central theme is the cultural concept of obsession, the way a subject can be studied, collected, and mastered, sometimes to the point of fetishization. The campaign is interested in this dedication, using it to highlight Tokyo’s urban landscape, its unexpected beauty, and the complexity of human connections within it.
