C.P. Company x Palace
by Adriano Batista
Following the triumph of their initial tag-team effort, C.P. Company and Palace are back in the collab game.
Hailing from the South Bank, a mecca for London’s skate scene, Palace is renowned for blending vintage and modern influences into streetwear. This time around, they’ve borrowed some iconic shapes and fabrics from C.P. Company’s arsenal for a collection that’s all about marrying technical prowess with an experimental aesthetic, obsessing over the details.
Take the Goggle Jacket, for instance. Crafted from Kan-D, a monofilament nylon channeling 1950s and 1960s candy wrapper vibes, it’s transparent enough to spotlight the PALACE COMPANY logo. The Goggle model itself gets a revamp in a bright orange hue, thanks to Flatt Nylon, with a hidden face mask thrown into the mix.
Meanwhile, the Explorer Jacket, a staple from C.P. Company, rocks D.D. Shell Rip-Stop, a thinner uncoated nylon injected with Direct Down, giving it a softer feel and a nuanced light/dark effect.
Palace’s cheeky touch extends to accessories, like the transformable Nylon B shoulder bag, doing double duty as a backpack or messenger bag. And let’s not forget the goggle beanie, down-filled D.D. Shell scarf, and a baseball cap with earflaps and goggle lenses.
The everyday lineup boasts cargo pants in Flatt Nylon, a cotton fleece hooded sweatshirt, a short-sleeved tee with both brands’ graphics, and a lambswool funnel neck sweater.
