Burberry celebrates its relationship with Highrove Gardens with a capsule collection
by Gabriel Córdoba Acosta
If we talk about the UK and fashion, the first example of a firm that comes to mind is undoubtedly Burberry, which coincidentally has presented its new capsule collection: Highgrove x Burberry.
The recent launch of the company founded by Thomas Burberry in 1856, now creatively directed by Daniel Lee, has to do with a line of clothing and accessories, full of British charm, that celebrates the relationship it has with the Highrove Gardens, located around the private residence of the British kings, Charles III and Camilla; and in turn promotes the work of The King’s Foundation – a charitable organisation founded by His Majesty that acts as custodian of Highgrove Gardens.
As for the pieces that make up the capsule, 28 to be exact, they have been designed by the firm’s design team and the artist Helen Bullock, who have been inspired by the beauty of the natural world and the four works created by Helen; and made with top quality fabrics such as certified wool, organic cotton or organic silk.
Complementing the collection is an advertising campaign, shot in a country house and English garden by photographer Camille Summers-Valli and starring a cast of actors including Elizabeth McGovern, Laura Carmichael, and Sopé Dìrísù.
Highgrove x Burberry collection is now available in its boutiques and online store. Check out the campaign below:
