Bianca Saunders Fall/Winter 2025
by Gabriel Córdoba Acosta
British designer Bianca Saunders – Founder and Creative Director of her eponymous brand – and her team recently packed their bags and travelled from London to Paris to present the Fall/Winter 2025 collection there during fashion week.
Dichotomy is the name given to the proposal, inspired by Roberto Longo’s “Men in the Cities” series and archive images of Jamaican dancers, and made up of 17 looks, which appeared on stage gradually and worn by models who exuded serenity.
The wardrobe that Saunders proposed for the colder seasons of the year is developed in a dark colour palette, with occasional acid tones, that can be seen in the timeless and relaxed style garments, easy to wear but with avant-garde touches that make them special, that compose it. As an example of this, there are the worn effect leather garments in brown; the oversized tailoring, where it is impossible not to mention the white shirt with arched and wrinkled sleeves or the checked trousers, unlike what is usually seen in the industry, have a single pleat and knotted bottoms; or the knitted shirts with striped prints, at first glance normal, but when one takes a closer look one can appreciate unexpected puckers on the front of them.
Elevating the proposal were the oversized knot-style bags, sometimes worn during the show as a necklace or scarf; the fine silver-coloured jewellery; and the square-toed/leather footwear, either in the shape of a scrunched moccasin or a rider’s boot, signed by the Portuguese Footwear Association (APICCAPS) and manufactured by Valuni. This partnership reaffirms once again this season the strong relationship they have.
With this work, Bianca Saunders continues to push the boundaries and break the mould in menswear. Have a look at the Fall/Winter 2025 collection below:
