Russian menswear designer Artem Shumov presented his Spring-Summer 2019 collection in Shanghai. Lookbook featuring Anar at Lookmodels Agency captured by Gaia Khachikian.
Artem manages to find similarities in different cultures of two metropolises: Shanghai and Moscow. He explores sportswear and business attire and creates a perfect combination of both. Simple elegant shapes of classical suits complemented by comfortable raglan sleeves and all kinds of stripes applique. The collection is based on casual and sport chic style and includes light suits, t-shirts, long sleeves and shorts. As always, Artem Shumov uses natural fabrics: Japanese cotton, wool, silk, lyocell in light color scheme with shades of beige, white and gray.
Artem shares his thought behind the collection: “Well, it’s very relaxed, I was inspired by street football and basketball, backyards in Shanghai and Moscow. And, since it is quite basic, I had a lot of fun with stripes and lampasse in primary colors of international flags. Lastly, I haven’t forgotten about suits, my favorite is the red denim one!”
