As photographer Pasquale Autorino toys with perspective and composition, he captures the dichotomy between balance and equilibrium of the collective in this Fucking Young!’s group editorial. Fashion by Barbara Ayoze Fu Safira places every model in a selection of laid-back outfits, pulled from brands that epitomize modernism a bold sense of disharmonious harmony juxtaposes an oxymoron of elegance, burgeoning contemporaneity in aesthetics. It all boils into a brave synergy that conveys an ethereal, yet goth-like lure.

How did you get into modeling?

I was scouted at wireless festival during the summer

What’s your take on Fashion?

You don’t realize how large the fashion industry is until your actually involved in it, it can be crazy at times but the amount of detail and how precise everything within fashion is, really amazes me.

And on the whole Instagram thing?

Instagram is a great platform, if used correctly it can give you an advantage over other people and really boost your chances with getting spotted by clients, it also allows you to interact with people from all over the world and can help get yourself out there, 2020 I plan on posting a lot more of my modeling pictures as I know it’ll be beneficial for me, something that I didn’t really do in 2019

Have you always been interested in Fashion?

I’d say I’ve always had an interest in fashion however I don’t think I really had an accurate idea of what fashion really was until I got involved in the industry. There are so many different aspects of fashion and everything is really precise/detailed

Who do I want to model for the most?
I’m a very sporty guy so I’d love to do a Nike campaign one day

Overall feelings about the industry?

I think I’ve touched upon this a little on previous questions but I’d say that the fashion industry is a very unique industry, a lot is always happening and things are always changing but it’s an industry where you can learn a lot about yourself, with the industry being so big it also gives you the chance to meet loads of different people from all over the world and you can really make a name for yourself If your willing to work hard enough

How did you get into modeling?

When I was walking out of Finsbury Park station to go wireless festival, I was approached by two scouts from SUPA who gave me a card and took some pictures. At first, I was skeptical because you hear a lot about these bogus scouts and agencies who just wasn’t to scam you but after doing some research, I came to the conclusion there were legitimate and from there my journey began.

What’s your take on Instagram?

I think Instagram has been an amazing breakthrough tool, which has taken social media interaction to a whole new level in just the space of 10 years. It’s a fantastic way to connect to both people and or businesses, but it has a dark side which I believe you’ll have to be prepared for especially the bullying and also the false perception of reality showcased through inch-perfect photos from the endless amount of big influencers & celebs.

Have you always been interested in Fashion?

Honestly, I wouldn’t say I’ve always been fashion-conscious not until I moved over from Nigeria and started seeing the importance of the industry and its reach.

Go-to tune of the moment?

My go-to tune right now would have to be W by Koffee ft Gunna.

Who do you want to model for the most?

My dream client to work for would be Off-White or only because I love the simplicity of its designs also the edginess but most importantly the story of its origin and Virgil Abloh’s.

Overall feelings about the industry?

The fashion industry has been adapting with the current trends in the global market, the rise of these fast fashion brands pumping out new collections every other week does have its positives but in the long run, it’s isn’t sustainable. We need to find something that works for us all.

The best lessons learnt in fashion is…

I’d say this industry has taught me to be more resilient and also to never doubt myself and for that I’m grateful. Also, it’s taught me to always be prepared for the unexpected.

Final words?

Last words, do what makes YOU happy as you only have this one life so don’t waste it trying to please others.

How did you get into modeling?

I always wondered about the modeling industry, but in 2013 I had the very surreal experience of surviving a plane crash.  I spent a long time in hospital and I was left with some pretty big scars on my legs and arm, which I thought might hold me back in the industry.  I then got scouted on Instagram by a number of scouts, which led to contracts with other agencies.   I decided I didn’t have anything to lose by approaching Storm.  I walked in and they signed me then and there.  Sometimes surviving the impossible and going through a really challenging time in your life can make you even more determined to succeed in life.

What’s your take on fashion?

I’m really interested in fashion Keeping it baggy and simple and skateboarding has always been a big influence on what I wear.

And on the whole Instagram thing?

I don’t take Instagram too seriously, but it definitely has real advantages when it comes to promoting my business and learning about other up and coming smaller brands.

Go-to tune of the moment?

I’m always listening to “sail away freestyle” by Loyle Carner, who’s one of my biggest inspirations.

Who do you want to model for the most?

There are so many iconic names that I would love to work with in the future, but Cav Empt would have to be up there as they are one of my favorite brands right now.

Overall feelings about the industry?

I’m pretty new to the industry, but I’m excited to see what the next year brings.  I’ve loved it so far and everyone I have met has been really great work with.  I’d love to travel a bit more next year and experience working in other countries and cultures.

The best lessons learnt in fashion is…

Be impulsive, individual and don’t take yourself too seriously.

How did you get into modeling?

I got into modeling being scouted in Bristol by a very small agency in Bristol. I completed my first shoot straight after signing which was a campaign for Arsenal. Balancing full-time football and modeling at that time was a challenge but I’d definitely say I’m into fashion and have favorite brands. We are talking Burberry, LV, Fendi. I love how you can express yourself through what you wear and how.

What are your thoughts on the whole Instagram thing?

I think Instagram is a great platform especially for creatives like models. We’re able to share our work with the whole World, gain exposure and also show our personality. I love sharing on my stories of what I get up to regularly.

But it can have a negative impact emotionally. If you get too attached to the app, constantly fishing for likes and comparing yourself to others. It’s draining and we’ve all been through it. But we learn from it and become a better person.

Have you always been interested in Fashion?

Only in recent years have I really been interested in fashion. It allows you to express yourself without even talking and engage in like-minded people. I enjoy watching London and Milan fashion shows because I know very soon I’ll be walking in them.

What’s the most instinctive thing you’ve ever done?

Putting my faith in God in everything I do and working hard is my instinctive nature.

Go-to tune of the moment?

Guten Tag – Hardy Caprio

Skeletun – Tekno

Naira Marley is by far my favorite artist

Who do you want to model for the most?

Being a very ambitious young man, I’ve set out goals of where I want to be and brands I want to work with this year. Can’t tell you all of them but I’ll let you in on a couple. Burberry, ASOS, and Nike.

Overall feelings about the industry?

For me I love the industry, working with amazing brands I followed closely growing up and energetic teams from the MUA to photographer.

The best lessons learnt in fashion is…

I had to really learn to be patient. When I first started modeling, I was easily frustrated that I wasn’t getting enough jobs, this affected me, telling my self I’m not good enough. But having faith in God and believing in myself I was able to change that.

Also balancing life. Being a student at Uni and Modelling at the same time is tough but working extra hard means I’m able to do both well.

Final words?

Big big thanks to my agents and agency W! Really important to show gratitude in the people that listen and believe in you even when you don’t at times. I’d definitely say I’m not where I want to be yet but I’m definitely taking steps towards it! 2020 is a big year so let’s get it!

Positive Energy and hard work!

God Bless.

How did you get into modeling?

I always wanted to model but never knew how to get into the scene, I started off by doing walk-ins into different agency’s then a few weeks later an agent at one of the Agency’s approached me in Westfield Stratford and I haven’t looked back since.

What’s your take on fashion?

I think fashion right now has become even bigger than what it used to be a few years ago as a lot of urban brands and commercial brands collaborate and bring creativity in clothes and with Instagram, it has allowed individuals to create a platform for their self to show their uniqueness or personality especially how people’s fashions inspire others.

Have you always been interested in Fashion?

I wasn’t always interested in fashion until I reached 16 and started to model I then started to discover new ways to dress and style my outfits.

What’s the most instinctive thing you’ve ever done?
I would say something I do without thinking is roller skating as it’s such a natural skill that’s come to me.

Go-to tune of the moment?

My go tune song of the moment has to be Koffee – Toast because they lyrics itself aside from the video brings a lot of positivity and good vibes.

Overall feelings about the industry?

I think the industry is still growing and becoming more diverse as time goes on.

The best lessons learnt in fashion is…

I have learned that fashion has no limits because everyone can be free and be themselves without being judged

Final words?

Final words.
I just want to take the time and thank the fucking young magazine for giving me the opportunity to shoot with them.

How did you get into modeling?

I was scouted on my way to get some food at the Boardmasters Festival in Newquay. Don’t how it happened as it was about the third day of the festival and I looked like I had been dragged through a hedge backwards.

What’s your take on fashion?

For me, it is a way of showing independence and a sign of your feelings and mindset at the time. I used to be into more ‘Wavy garm’ styles as I loved the vintage colorful 90s sporting looks. Now I am getting a bit more tailored in my clothing.

And on the whole Instagram thing?

Its mixed feelings. I have not posted on Instagram in about 4 years and if you look through my Instagram now you will see me at age 10-15 posing with Lola my dog. On the other hand, it seems to be the way to get noticed.

Have you always been interested in Fashion?

Clothes have always been important to me, but I haven’t always classed myself as fashionable. I went through a generic clothing phase but now I have become much more interested and thoughtful about the outfits I wear.

What’s the most instinctive thing you’ve ever done?

Travel.

Go-to tune of the moment?

Autopsy by Fairport Convention.

Who do you want to model for the most?

Fred Perry.

Overall feelings about the industry?

I have met some lovely people but the industry makes it hard to balance life and modeling. Living outside London makes it very hard to be there when needed.

The best lessons learnt in fashion is…

Never skinny jeans for me!

Final words?

I loved the photoshoot. Thanks for having me.

What’s your take on fashion?

I like to be an individual and express myself by what I wear. Fashion is important to me because without it I would be the same as everybody else.

And on the whole Instagram thing?

Instagram is very important because you can become inspired by others or to be used to inspire and to make connections and to meet new people in the industry.

The Weeknd- lost in the fire

Who do you want to model for the most?

YSL Saint Laurent.

It’s a crazy industry and very important! There is always something new and something different every day. I’m Not sure where I would be without it.
