Alberto Moretti… Joie de chaussures!
by Luca Imbimbo

He is the designer “from the velvet heart”. His creations are chosen by international celebrities such as Elton John, Ryan Gosling, Ronnie Wood. His brand is distributed in the best luxury store in the world: Barneys New York, Harvey Nichols, Mercury-Tsum Moscow, Dubai Saks, Fred Segal Los Angeles. He is Alberto Moretti, born in Tuscany and a passionate traveler.
For the men’s 2013-2014 F/W Collection, he emphasizes la joie de vivre through the refined gem-like details that enrich the classic loafer. Sparkling and elegant decorations like precious brooches, bow-ties and crystal embroideries, evoke the atmosphere of glamorous and exclusive evenings.
Four must-haves for the season… The Bow Tie: A silk or velvet bow-tie characterizes the evening loafer.
The deep top line gives a glimpse of the skin or of an unusual and brightly coloured sock.
The Martini: Alberto takes inspiration from the vodka martini, his favourite drink, for the gem-like embroidery that adorns black or midnight blue slippers. The soft velvet is lightened up by a precious hand-sewn detail in white crystals combined with an emerald-coloured stone.
The Grand-Mère: the loafer, in black and dark blue velvet, is decorated with a delicate floral-shaped brooch with pearl petals and emerald-coloured stone pistils. The model recalls the jewellery worn by chic ladies at very exclusive parties.
The Fatal. A rich bow-shaped brooch made in crystal and sapphire coloured baguettes appears on the classic slipper. A touch of refinement for the modern gentleman.
The iconic Velvet Shoe cannot miss, declined in several colors and all along the most successful model of the Maison.
The fine view is instead devolved upon the Fur-Boots perfect for the man who wants to dare, but with style… What a marvel!
