Aimé Leon Dore Fall/Winter 2024
by Gabriel Córdoba Acosta
At this moment in time, if we stop to analyse the current situation in the fashion industry and the brands that are in it, we can realise how capricious it is and how subject we are to them, even if we don’t want to accept it. This reflection is related to the tremendous change it has undergone, since a couple of years ago the only thing that was offered and found was the absolute avant-garde and pure trend, now it is quite the opposite, and what is sought is to find basic and timeless items made with high-quality materials, due in part to the intense introduction by fashion headers and designers of the ‘quiet luxury’ or ‘old money’ styles. Despite the sway of trends and the fact that many brands have transformed and consequently lost their spirit based on them, there has been one that has remained true to its values since its founding, and that is Aimé Leon Dore, which by the way has recently unveiled its Fall/Winter 2024 collection through a lookbook.
The latest AIL launch is made up of 52 looks that make it even more desirable to bring down the temperatures and dress appropriately, because during the Summer it is sometimes difficult to create a good look, due to the heat in some places. For the days of the coming seasons where the proper colours (coinciding with those of the line) invite you to walk around holding a hot coffee, a whole arsenal of clothes and accessories has been devised, taken care of to the smallest detail, with which to be the coolest and most elegant in the neighbourhood or the city will be easy; just take a look at what is the main part of the proposal, the coats, meeting the needs of any style and situation. Within this, we must highlight the leather garments in different styles, such as biker, classic, or varsity; the double-breasted tailored coats, reinforced in the shoulder area, and made in rich fabrics; the puffer jackets; or the overshirts.
Complementing all of the above are the various polo shirts and knitted jumpers worn with either a T-shirt or a shirt; hoodies; and the different types of trousers, tailored, with darts, or biker trousers.
Of course, a collection cannot be considered good if it is not accompanied by a range of accessories and footwear to match, and in this case, it is. The company knows how important these two fields are in the sector and the economic benefits they bring, that’s why they have given them the same importance as clothing. Caps, beanies and bucket hats, gloves and scarves, and loafers all come into play here. All of them make the looks more complex and special.
Fall/Winter 2024 collection by Aimé Leon Dore is now available for purchase in its respective boutiques and online shop.
