Acne Studios Fall/Winter 2025
by Gabriel Córdoba Acosta
Paris Fashion Week is always the calendar that the Swedish fashion brand Acne Studios chooses to present its collections, either in show or presentation format. As far as the menswear line is concerned, it was unveiled in the last mentioned and subsequently through a lookbook on social media.
The launch is composed of 26 looks, in dark and vibrant tones, and inspired by the exploration of archetypal menswear codes, reimagined with an underlying subversion. Through them, the different facets of the same man, the urban and the off-duty, are explored, creating a sense of being both groomed and dishevelled. All of this is materialised in the pieces that make up the Fall/Winter 2025 wardrobe, such as coats in different styles and sizes, elegant 80s tailoring, vintage-looking merino wool and cashmere knitwear, shirts in classic and avant-garde prints, cropped T-shirts, and trousers, especially in denim, as they are given experimental treatments and trompe l’oeil prints are added to them.
Rounding off the proposal are the footwear and accessories. As for the first, it plays with formality, in a way in which the brogue is deconstructed and sprinkled with studs, transformed into a heavy boot, or into a moccasin adorned with the brand’s logo plaque, among other silhouettes; while in the other field, the component items are eclectic, drawing on menswear traditions, such as a cap inspired by a vintage flight cap, belts embellished with Western-style badges, or the large Camero bag in embossed leather.
