In the digital age, a “personal brand” is often a carefully curated facade. But for Carlos Vasconcellos, it’s something far more authentic: a direct line to his soul. A rising presence on Instagram and TikTok, Carlos didn’t find his voice through a calculated strategy, but by embracing a moment of personal upheaval (getting fired from his job) as the catalyst to fully commit to his passions.
What unfolds from that leap of faith is a portrait of a modern multi-hyphenate who refuses to be confined. In this conversation, Carlos opens up about building a digital space that reflects his core philosophy: that life should be lived without regrets. He delves into his “modern rockstar” aesthetic, a style born from an innate instinct to stand out and a deep love for the rock legends of the ’70s through ’90s.

You’ve built a strong presence on Instagram and TikTok. How did you first get started creating content on these platforms?
My content journey officially started in January of last year. I had already been creating content on and off for almost three years, but after getting fired from my job, I felt that was the final push I needed to fully dedicate myself to this path. That’s when I posted my first GRWM video, and the rest is history.
How would you describe your personal brand online? What kind of content do you enjoy sharing the most?
I’d describe my personal brand as a reflection of who I am and how I see fashion: as a form of self-expression and freedom. I want to show people that we’re much freer than we think, and that life should be lived without regrets. The content I enjoy sharing the most is definitely my GRWMs and anything related to my music. Making music is my biggest dream, to collaborate with other artists and creatives who share my vision and connect with my sound.
Has social media influenced your career direction in any way?
Definitely. Social media made me realize that people want real people. They want to see things that feel genuine and authentic. That’s exactly what I try to put out every time I’m in front of a camera or working on music.
How would you describe your fashion aesthetic? What role does fashion play in expressing who you are as an artist?
I’d say my aesthetic is “modern rockstar”, with a big love for accessories and the small details that take an outfit to the next level. I always joke that I’ll never need a stylist because I was born with that instinct in my blood. Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to stand out and be different. The way I dress reflects how I live. I try to block out the noise and just listen to myself, to the soundtrack of my own life. If that makes sense!
Do you have any favorite designers or brands that inspire you?
I wouldn’t say I have one single favorite designer, but I really admire what Rick Owens has done in terms of identity and design. I also love Roberto Cavalli’s work from back in the day, and earlier eras’ style in general. My style is heavily influenced by rock music and all the legends from the ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s.
You’re also known for your fitness and dedication to staying in shape. How do you stay consistent and motivated with your workouts?
I’ve been working out since I was 14. I started playing football when I was 7, but around 12, I realized music was my true passion. Still, at 14, I hit the gym and never stopped. I think I’m someone who adapts easily to any routine. Once I find joy in something, it naturally becomes a habit. Training helps me release stress, boosts my dopamine, and makes me genuinely happy and accomplished.
Does your fitness routine influence your performance or creativity in music?
Absolutely, 100%. I truly believe that a healthy body creates a healthy mind. The creativity boost I get after a gym session is unmatched. It helps me stay focused, clear, and inspired.
Let’s talk about your music. How did your journey as a musician begin?
My music journey started when I was 12. I was heavily influenced by DJs like Tiësto and David Guetta during the golden era of EDM and trance. I also listened to reggaeton, rock, and metal, a mix of everything that shaped me. One day, I googled, “What software does DJ Tiësto use to make music?” and that was the start of everything. From that moment, FL Studio became my go-to DAW, and it still is today.
How would you describe the sound and vibe of your current musical project?
That’s always a hard question to answer because I don’t like being boxed into one genre. I’m capable of creating across so many sounds and styles, I just follow what feels right in the moment. It could be pop, reggaeton, techno, hyperpop, alternative rock… I create everything from my bedroom, letting the vibe lead the way. So honestly, it depends on my mood that day.
What artists or genres have influenced your sound the most?
I’ve been influenced by so many, Porter Robinson, Deadmau5, Zedd, Skrillex, Tchami… but I also grew up surrounded by Latin music, reggaeton, salsa, merengue, bachata, dembow, dancehall and a lot of rock, especially Latin and Spanish rock. As I got older, I leaned more into English rock too. All those influences built the foundation of my sound today.
What message or feeling do you hope listeners take away from your songs?
I want listeners to feel that they’re getting a real piece of me in every track. My music is a direct reflection of my thoughts and experiences, honest, emotional, and raw. I want people to connect with that authenticity.
Are you working on any upcoming releases or collaborations we should look forward to?
Right now I’m working on a lot of things. I’m not the kind of artist who plans everything months ahead, I’m very spontaneous. I have so many tracks just waiting for the right moment to be released. But I can say a hyperpop EP might be on the way soon, so stay tuned!
Finally, what does Fucking Young! mean to you.
Fucking Young! represents the perfect mix of sweet and sour, a balance of edge and taste. It’s a space that celebrates self-expression and authenticity, where people can be wild, creative, and unapologetically themselves. To me, it’s a judgment-free zone, a platform that allows artists like me to share our worldview with others who share the same passion and energy. It truly feels like the right place to be.
