The act of collaboration is a dialogue between legacies. For its first partnership with the British outerwear brand Baracuta, the Japanese fashion house N.Hoolywood enters this conversation with a focus on reimagined icons. Guided by designer Daisuke Obana’s philosophy of deconstruction and reassembly, the capsule collection filters Baracuta’s British heritage through a minimalist and detail-oriented lens.

This vision finds its purest expression in a reversible version of Baracuta’s iconic G9 Harrington jacket. The original, engineered for golfers and famed for its weatherproof qualities, is rebuilt. Using the largest G9 size as a base, the length has been shortened to create a relaxed, boxy silhouette. Inspired by tracksuits, the ribbing at the hem and cuffs has been adjusted for a stronger tension. A wider neckline allows the lining to become an accent. The two-way front zipper features an original leather pull tab from N.Hoolywood, while the buttons remain Baracuta originals. Even Baracuta’s unique detail of inserting kite thread into the placket to prevent the slider from catching has been preserved. A small pocket for care labels is intentionally placed under the back rib on the check-patterned side, a subtle, almost hidden touch.

The collection also introduces an original shirt constructed from Baracuta’s signature check fabric, featuring subtle detailing inspired by the brand’s G4 jacket. This partnership is a transcontinental exchange where classic British craftsmanship meets a refined, understated sensibility, resulting in pieces that feel both familiar and entirely new.
