Maison Kitsuné is turning a page. The brand’s founders, Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki, have announced the appointment of Abigail Smith as their new Creative Director. The news comes just before the reveal of the Spring/Summer 2026 collection during Paris Fashion Week.

In a statement, the founders expressed their confidence, saying Smith is “redefining the Maison Kitsuné silhouette.” They highlight her work with the Paris atelier to create a “fresh and modern Parisian wardrobe,” calling her hiring the start of the “next chapter” for the house.

Smith’s first collection for the brand will be available in stores and online from early 2026. She brings a clear perspective to the role. In her own words, she admires the brand’s unique blend of “fashion, music, and culture into a singular art de vivre.” Her goal is to build a “contemporary, functional wardrobe” that captures Parisian elegance while respecting the brand’s established Paris-Tokyo identity.
