A Shaded View On Fashion Film (ASVOFF) is back for its 17th edition. From November 13th to 16th, 2025, it will fill Dover Street Market Paris with moving images and new ideas. Founded by Diane Pernet, this festival sits where fashion, film, and culture meet.

This year’s program is full. It includes the Goldfinch Writer’s Award, which helps new writers develop their scripts, and the Dreamtown Innovator Award for filmmakers. The screenings range from feature-length documentaries to student works and AI-generated short films. There will be a specific focus on a new wave of Chinese fashion films and a showcase called “Climate Warriors” that highlights eco-conscious voices.

ASVOFF is a place for conversation. Live performances and panel discussions will tackle some of the industry’s most pressing topics. These social impact themes are central. A dedicated category and panel on mental health, led by Florian Müller, aims to bring attention to well-being across the fashion world. The Queer Fashion Film Award, in collaboration with The Queer Archive, celebrates films that explore queer identity. Another platform, Fashion Intelligence, will examine technology’s role in shaping what comes next.

Guiding the festival as President is designer Willy Chavarria, who will lead an international jury. ASVOFF 17 promises a space where fashion’s big questions are not just shown on screen, but felt and debated in person. SAVE THE DATE!
