Pitti Uomo 108 in collaboration with Japan Fashion Week Organization takes us backstage at the first international runway show for Japanese brand Children of the Discordance at the Stazione Leopolda.

Through overdye, deconstruction, and deliberate asymmetry, this collection reimagines the visual vocabulary found in structured shirts, jackets, pants, and tailored shorts by introducing improved tailoring. A raw, “unfinished” style is embraced by several pieces, which is an experimental approach for designer Shikama. Additionally, the focus is on tactile sophistication, with fine-gauge yarns and high-density weaves providing delicate tension and texture. Specifically, the Super 100s and 200s’ dead stock selvedge wool, which is procured specifically, adds depth and accuracy. Twenty distinct luxury fabrics in a wide range of black and brown are used to create the one-of-a-kind patchwork pieces, each of which expresses a particular conversation between roughness and refinement.
