Bikkembergs unveiled their latest collab for a new generation of fashion and street culture aficionados at Pitti Uomo 108 with designer Gosha Rubchinskiy reimagining the classic Soccer sneaker. Crafted by Rodolfo Zengarini, it’s a conversation between two artistic disciplines. From Dirk Bikkembergs’ famous runway performance at Camp Nou in 2005 to Gosha’s debut with Empire of Evil at Sokolniki Stadium in Moscow in 2008 to his Florentine runway debut at Pitti Uomo in 2016 with his branded gym-style sportswear, both designers have simultaneously drawn inspiration from the intersection of sports and fashion over the years.

With the World Cup just a year away, football fever is reaching new audiences thanks to a diverse group of host cities from Vancouver to Kansas City. When the Soccer sneaker was introduced in the late 90s, it revolutionized sports style by making striking fashion statements. Y2K nostalgia, football allusions, and the rebellious spirit of bloke core (the movement that honors sports heritage through terrace style) bring it back into the forefront today with a modern twist.

Three color options are available: black, green, and white. Each pair has two interchangeable lace sets: one made of polyester for a sportier vibe and one made of waxed cotton for a more elegant appearance. A black and green drawstring workout bag bearing the joint logo is included with the sneaker. The gym bag is carefully folded over the sneakers, which are wrapped in tissue paper and put within a simple, meticulously constructed box. The exclusive packaging completely reimagines the unboxing experience.
