Bluemarble Fall/Winter 2025

We traveled to The Cent Quatre in the 19th arrondissement for the highly anticipated Bluemarble show during Paris Fashion Week. 104 (as it’s dubbed), is one of my favorite creative spaces in Paris where you can find everyone from dancers rehearsing to art pop-ups. As we entered, we were greeted with beignets and hot chocolate, tables full of crepes, tartes, and pastries created by Mory Sacko decked out the hall with sofas and chairs My inner clock knew that “le goûter” aka “after-noon snack” was just around the corner. Designer Anthony Alvarez Graff transported the Bluemarble audience inside his favorite childhood memories made up of family, the countryside, and the stories we share as we gather over pastries.
“It is also when my mother instilled in me my curiosity for different cultures: of never forgetting your roots, but always being open to the world.” Explained Alvarez Graff.
The collection unfolded as mementos from different times and places collaged to create a fresh look. Seventies-style washed jersey T-shirts with sun-bleached graphics were layered underneath generously proportioned, vintage-inspired motorcycle jackets; voluminous poet shirts tucked into lace-embellished tracksuits; deconstructed, gently oversized, or rendered in saturated velour tailoring, all of which resembled items passed down through the generations or taken from a cherished family member’s lifelong wardrobe. Meanwhile, shearling neck warmers and leather pants, as well as denim embroidered with delicate, glittering flowers or pierced with metal rings, were decorated with the beaded lamps of rural cottages. The Ascot slipper, a new runway collaboration with UGG, featured a Vibram sole embroidered in crimson with beaded leaves, purposefully blurring the boundaries between indoor and outdoor space.
“My mom gave me this love of adventure: a boundless curiosity for the unknown and, more importantly, taught me to cherish the fleeting moments you share with people along the way,” explained Alvarez Graff. “That connection is what “le goutêr” is all about – and is what is really at the heart of Bluemarble.”
Countryside may be for lovers, but it is also for dreamers, creators, bakers, and storytellers.
