Etnia Barcelona Goes Pop-Surreal with Limited Edition Toiletpaper Collaboration
by Fucking Young!
Etnia Barcelona breaks expectations with their most unexpected collaboration yet: “Toiletpaper x Etnia Barcelona.” This limited-edition capsule collection throws wide the doors between fashion and the fantastical, bringing the iconic imagery of Toiletpaper Magazine to the world of sunglasses.
The centerpiece of the collection is the “Dolly” model. Here, whimsy meets functionality. The classic roses with a doll’s eye motif, the magazine’s signature, blooms in 3D printed glory on the arms. But the magic doesn’t stop there. In a touch of pure surrealism, when the glasses are folded shut, the doll winks! This unexpected detail breathes life into the design, a playful nod to the magazine’s offbeat aesthetic. Hidden amongst details lies another secret: the Toiletpaper logo, revealed only when the lens meets a puff of breath.

“Roses 1” and “Roses 2” complete the collection, offering two variations of the iconic floral pattern. Printed with precision on high-quality acetate frames, these sunglasses are an invitation to step into the surreal visual world of Toiletpaper. The reversible design allows the wearer to choose between a bold statement piece or a more subtle hint of the magazine’s surrealism.

The official unveiling of the capsule will take place at an exclusive party at the Etnia Barcelona Flagship Store in the El Born neighborhood. The space is being transformed into a living, breathing embodiment of the Toiletpaper universe. This immersive experience allows visitors to fully engage with the magazine’s spirit and discover the collection firsthand.
