Pierre Rousseau, the esteemed composer, producer, and longtime friend of the brand, has orchestrated a spectacular sonic landscape to accompany Grégoire Dyer‘s latest film, TWENTY, in honor of Études‘ 10th anniversary. Building on their previous collaboration for the Études N°18 collection, Rousseau’s latest score seamlessly blends with the film’s themes of unity, freedom, and personal exploration, taking us on a journey through the captivating mountainous landscapes of the Vercors and a labyrinthine city with a slightly dystopian edge.

The film’s imagery presents a modern interpretation of the Romantic period’s painting style, and Rousseau’s soundtrack adds a dynamic mix of atmospheric and rhythmic electronic tones that exude a contemporary romanticism. His score offers an expression of personal feelings that perfectly reflects the environments portrayed in the film, building towards a climax that evokes an evolution towards the indescribable inner summit – a concept that echoes René Daumal’s unfinished allegorical work, Le Mont Analogue.

Produced by the legendary French electronic music label Ed Banger Records, the TWENTY original soundtrack features a photography booklet by Grégoire Dyer and a text by esteemed music critic Joseph Ghosn.
