Fashion Weeks are happening in all the big cities around the world right now, and too often smaller emerging brands get lost between the big shows. This is the main reason why SIDESTEP is presenting a new project called ‘The Next Step’, where they aim to give a platform to emerging designers where they can get introduced to a wider audience, where everyone can seat at the front row and get to know their talent.
Walking into the Outsiders Division studio, located in Barcelona, will leave you with your mouth wide open. The space is full of small details that bring out the child in all of us. A palace full of color and creativity, transforming reality with a bit of naif surrealism. The brand celebrates emotions, imagination, and nostalgia to design quality clothing that finds the best version of yourself.
Outsiders Division invites us to exalt individuality without denying the collective, integrate the unique self into our inner child, and seek a new harmony: brave, sincere, colorful. David enjoys working with artisans and bringing back forgotten techniques and disciplines made by hand, doing small-scale production only with suppliers he trusts. Outsiders Division is for everybody who denies reality and refuses to grow up. Fuck fashion, Let’s art!
