Ricardo Andrez Spring/Summer 2015 Lookbook
by Adriano Batista

Ricardo Andrez’s sports chic charm hits back. The awe-inspiring quilting of previous season is replaced by color-blocked nylon sleekness for an overall contemporary feel. The collection was based on hunting and prey relationships/predator. Own standards and applications were worked in materials, giving the desired duality between the two poles and thus becoming an over-dressing by the hunter. Are important messages within the pieces as elements of seduction between object/final consumer, as well as a strong commercial aspect and almost “naif”.
The color – ranging from turquoise to green (hunting), without forgetting the dark blue, which is the pitch of the DNA Andrez – also comes in a color palette that is new to Ricardo and whose aim was also to bring some pop this “hunting”. The rhinestones, for example, appears as a overdressing the part of the predator. Never in a literal way, the inspiration manifests itself sensually with the use of subtle transparencies which arise along the silhouettes through the crepe cotton, new material in the history of the creator.
