Modern menswear inspired by international lifestyles. STONE’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection channels tiled lineation on Khmer temples and school uniforms in Singapore for its latest sartorial offering entitled Future Recollections. Co-Creative directors Dakota Scott and Dana Mason imbued observations from their recent explorations in Southeast Asia into the collection’s color and construction, delivering an understated and academic aesthetic.

Further inspiration came through a study of mid-century modern furniture, igniting an appreciation for the disciplined designs of Finn Juhl and Hans J. Wegner. Both Juhl and Wegner’s modern interpretation of conventional furniture informed the collection’s spirit.

Signature detailing, which includes square-point collars, paneled back collars and French seams, brings a level of precision to the collection. “We set out to provide a continuation of proven form with new design while maintaining practical function,” says designers Scott and Mason. “Our design approach is to combine clever tailoring with tactile detailing. We want to provide our customers with a youthful way to approach sophistication.

Rust and pale yellow punctuate a muted palette of navy, ecru and khaki. Polo bodies were crafted from fine cotton poplin and shirting fabric was used to create structured pullovers. Deconstructed detailing and contrasting insets on Italian ponté tee shirts round out the collection.
