Born Lee Seung-Hee in Korea in 1970, Nikki S. Lee chose her American name when she came to New York in 1994. Nikki’s most notable pieces are her “projects”. She interact with different groups of people, and transforms herself into one of them.This experience is the center of her work. She believes that the self cannot be fully understood outside the context of human interaction.
