Nahmias made its first official New York Fashion Week debut on February 16, showcasing its Fall/Winter 2021 collection. The brand continues its exploration of deeply embedded personal memories from Doni Nahmias’ upbringing in Summerland – a seaside town in Santa Barbara County, California.
The collection, titled “Lost in the Sand,” recaptures a period in his adolescence when Nahmias felt lost, like many of us have. A time that now feels like a dream. To him, the memories feel like wine-stained nights, gliding skateboards, the thud of a basketball, and the endless roll of the surf. All the distant memories converge in Nahmias’ FW21 collection to evoke the senses, through custom prints and graphics and the brand’s signature take on classic surf and skate silhouettes.
