“I am a garden of earthly delights. I am the apple you would fall for a thousand times.” – Diane Lockward, Poet

The SS19 Collection by Luca Larenza is inspired by Hieronymus Bosch’s painting The Garden of Earthly Delights and by John Milton’s Lost Paradise. The color block, typical of the designer, alternates with the seafaring theme with patterns depicting ancient mermaids taken from medieval miniatures, corals, fishes and intertwined ropes shaping a double L.

Created in 2011, the brand quickly established itself on the market thanks to its clean and elegant lines and high-quality knitwear.

We met Luca in Milan during the latest presentation to the Media and this is what he told us.

Who is Luca Larenza and what is Luca Larenza brand?

Who is Luca Larenza? That’s a good question.

I could define myself as a creator who applies his vision to different fields, collections, lifestyles and projects of various genres.

Over the years, I have developed a definite and recognizable taste that I transmit season after season in the collections of Luca Larenza brand: the men’s fashion project made in 2011.

Who is your typical client, if any?

My typical client is a young man with an easy-chic attitude.

He is elegant, but at the same time has fun to durst and never goes unnoticed.

Tell me about the SS19.

The SS19 Collection is spread over two fronts: the first faithful to my DNA linked to high-end knitwear enriched by inlay and color block patterns, the second linked to the inspirations coming from The Garden of Earthly Delights by Hieronymus Bosch and from the Lost Paradise by John Milton.

Based on these, I revisited the seafaring theme developing patterns depicting ancient mermaids taken from medieval miniatures, corals, fishes and intertwined ropes shaping a double L.

The fits are soft, the attitude is relaxed typical of a hot summer afternoon, as it transpires from the photos by Eleonora D’Angelo.

The most representative item of the Collection.

The night blue cotton blazer worked in stitch fabric with regimental patterns.

According to you, what is really FUCKING YOUNG!?

The models I used for the latest presentation! I personally took care of both the casting and the styling.
