Laird London

The hatters shop Laird of Glencairn opened its doors for the first time on the 1st of December 2009 in the beautiful Columbia Road, one of my favourites streets in London, known for its famous Sunday Flower Market, the boutique shops and Laxeiro, one of the best Spanish restaurants in the city .

Since then they haven’t stopped growing and today they have a total of 3 stores, one more in Covent Garden and the other in the City of London.
Zofia Torun-Shaw and her husband Alex are the creators of this little universe dedicated to an accessory that had been practically forgotten over the years.

Their designs and the quality of the materials alone are worth a visit to their shops where you could find the famous Bowler or Coke hat, High Topper hats, top hats, straw hats, baseball caps, Sherlock Holmes style caps, trilby hat etc. Amongst their most famous customers are Yoko Ono, Keira Knightley, David Schwimmer from Friends or Jefferson Hack co-founder of Dazed & Confused (…and the father of Kate Moss’ daughter).
