Dior Homme’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection was definitely one of the most anticipated shows of the week. Following the debut of Virgil Abloh at Louis Vuitton earlier in the week, everyone had to wait to see Kim Jones in his new role as creative director after his move from Louis Vuitton.

Waiting for the show, we got a look at the who’s who of fashion and pop culture’s finest mingling around. Spotting everyone from designers Karl Lagerfeld, Virgil Abloh, Grace Wales Bonner, Matthew Williams, Haider Ackermann, and Victoria Beckham; artist Takashi Murakami; musicians Rita Ora, The xx, A$AP Rocky, Skepta; to supermodels Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Bella Hadid, and Winnie Harlow. In the center of it all was a huge sculpture made up of black, white, and pink blooms. U.S. artist KAWS (real name Brian Donnelly) partnered with Dior, reinterpreting the brand’s classic bee motif and was commissioned to do the set design.

Models walked out to music by Diplo, in a collection made up of soft tailoring, pastels, unstructured overcoats and loose silhouettes. Sneakers and a masculine update on the label’s iconic Saddlebag was the Dior monogram also made appearances. Not to be overlooked and sure to be a hit were a series of blinged-out dog bone pieces by Ambush’s Yoon, Dior’s new jewelry designer. A special CD buckle, which appeared on belts and caps was created by designer Matthew Williams. We see Kim having endless opportunities playing with the codes in the archives at Dior for seasons to come.
