“Chew my bubble gum” portrays DAGDA‘s SS14 waif in his own bleakly furnished room, surrounded by scruffy worn-out objects, empty ampoules and withered rose petals, revealing an intimate moment of his paradoxical life.
As DAGDA’s signature statement, this capsule collection is characterised by a substantial use of embroidery, an interpretation of masculine juices and physical self-inflicted wounds can slightly be read in between the lines.
Pure cotton and silks are carefully altered with refined embellishments and a severe attention to detail, creating new patterns and prints, as well as waterproof and technical materials, such as latex and nylon, translated in a wearable-glam key, counteracted by delicate and almost baroque embroidery.
