BANDE DES QUATRES is a new boutique line based in New York City. Each design is a collaboration: conceived by Montreal-native Erin Wahed and hand-crafted by world-renowned Canadian jeweler Janis Kerman. Wahed’s art world experience and collecting savvy directly influence her refined aesthetic. She draws inspiration from a variety of styles, periods, and mediums – including: photography, painting, sculpture, architecture, and graphic and industrial design. The pieces combine 18kt yellow and palladium white gold, sterling silver, and precious gemstones.
“Essentials is the perfect blend of product and culture from a brand like Converse. Focussed around classic sportswear items, redefined for streetwear….it mirrors the story of Converse as a brand, born in sport, raised by the streets.”
For the Fall/Winter 2017 collection, Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki, co-founders and artistic directors of Maison Kitsuné, drew their inspiration from American pop culture and the aesthetic and creative energie of New York born, Paris based, artist William Klein.
