Arena Homme+ features Final Fantasy XIII-2 characters modeling Prada clothes

Square Enix has teamed up with Prada to have characters from Final Fantasy XIII-2 model some clothes from the 2012 Spring/Summer men’s clothing collection in the April 2012 issue of Arena Homme+.

As part of the “Final Fantasy” series’ 25th anniversary, a cast of characters, including Lightning, Noel and Snow, trade their usual outfits for Prada in the issue, which goes on sale on April 12th.

 

“Our Spring issue focuses on a world of direction and escapism, and having a visually stunning videogame franchise such as FINAL FANTASY work alongside us and a leading fashion brand like Prada to create something so unique is incredible,” said Max Pearmain, Arena Homme+’s editor. “I’ve always been interested by the power of videogames and their place in society, and the amount of work that’s gone into this project blows my mind. We’re incredibly pleased with the result.”

“The Final Fantasy series is known for its creativity and innovation; so working with Prada, a renowned fashion house with such beautiful clothing, was a very exciting opportunity. The images we have been able to create together are vibrant and unique,” said FFXIII-2 producer Yoshinori Kitase.

LIMITED EDITION: Fucking Young x Victor von Schwarz

As we promised six months ago, every issue of the magazine will be accompanied by a limited edition object in support of emerging talent. The Catalan designer (now based in London) Roberto Piqueras featured in our first issue, with a T-shirt inspired by “BLOND” transformed into something like a high school folder, where an assemblage of blondes have all the attention, from Claudia Schiffer, Eminem, Christina Aguilera, Donatella Versage, Justin Timberlake, Madonna, Pikachu, Nick Carter or Emma Bunton. 25 of them sold out in less than a week, with orders from far-flung places like Tokyo, Australia, London and the US.

It was an absolute success, one that we hope to repeat with this second edition. Thatʼs why weʼve chosen to collaborate with Catalan designer Victor von Schwarz, who has created a piece inspired by our second issue, focusing on the events of 1997 and the aesthetic of the ʻ90s in general.
