For Fall/Winter 2026, Ziggy Chen presents a collection called DISSPARATION. The concept moves at the edges of perception. It is defined not by what is immediately visible, but by what shifts, separates, and recomposes over time. Dislocation becomes a quiet, persistent condition that shapes both form and meaning.

Fragments of the past emerge without nostalgia. They are observed, displaced, and reassembled with a contemporary sensibility that favors balance over statement, and function over excess. Nothing is fully resolved; everything remains in a state of tension.

Patterns come from hand-drawn marks and fragments of memory: stone, architecture, historical imagery. They are abstract yet grounded, existing between different eras. Construction is revealed rather than hidden. Linings surface, interiors move outward, letting the garment speak through its own making.

Color appears in restrained tones: warm browns, softened greys, deep grey-blues, black, and muted grey-yellows. Layers accumulate with discretion, creating depth without weight. Natural fibers (wool, cashmere, hemp, linen, silk) anchor the collection in an honest materiality. Irregular yarns and bouclé textures preserve traces of the process, where imperfection is neither hidden nor corrected.

Accessories follow the same logic. There are layered footwear, braided leather, metal elements, and cashmere scarves that support function, avoiding mere ornament.
