STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS
So you know we love movies right? Star Trek Into Darkness kicks off the 2013 sci-fi summer blockbuster schedule, officially opening in theaters today. Fans say it’s a “must see!,” so even the critics have to line up for this one! It’s okay if you’re not a Trekie, J.J. Abrams is an incredible storyteller. He’s the director behind the movies Super 8, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, the TV show Lost, and he’s about to start working on Star Wars: Episode VII. Get your popcorn and your 3-D glasses ready because it’s all about the visuals with this one. The set design and the costumes are also amazing. Into Darkness lays the groundwork for young Captain Krik as he grows into his leadership of the Starship Enterprise. This flick is probably going to be the summer’s best feel-good sci-fi movie. Aside from the awesome visuals and costumes, J.J. Abrams allows each character to come to life throughout the film. Even though the setting is way in the future, each character shows lots of old school traits based on friendship, trust, loyalty, and honor.Go check it out!

Thievery on any level and in any environment is something that needs to end once and for all. Often times a beautiful marriage yields many offspring, and when it comes to the NIKE and A.P.C union we’re so glad to welcome their newest baby into the world. You may remember their first release of the ‘court’ back in 2008. The American sportswear brand and French fashion house dropped their second collaboration sneakers last year, and when the shoes sold out in hours it was obvious that this was a match made in heaven. When you put floral print on a 5-panel strapback, you’re almost certainly going to wind up with a piece of headwear glory. It’s basically a recipe that’s impossible to mess up. That being said, you’re still going to find certain brands that will do it better than others. In this instance, Stussy is that brand. They’ve decided, as usual, to head to the kitchen and cook up some heat by creating this royal blue, red, and white colorway. Listening to Midnight Marauders last night around, well, midnight, the realization that our college girlfriend probably still has the last A Tribe Called Quest we owned sent us on an internet search. What did we find but something better than we could have ever imagined: the Marauder 93 shorts. If you didn’t already know, the album was released in 1993, and if that was before your time, then there is no day like today to discover this classic.
