Sailor

Nautical is a trend we’re all familiar with. You cannot go a day without seeing a blue stripe, pin stripe or a red stripe (I’m not talking about the beer but if you occupy East London I’m sure that applies too). What is it we all love about the coastal details? Sailors have a certain air to them; they’re tough, they’re brave and they aren’t afraid of hard work.

However the breed of sailor we’re presenting here is not that of a well oiled Jean Paul Gaultier aftershave model, but a more innocent type.

Hugo LavĂn, our Fashion Director informed me of a Spanish tradition during a child’s first communion. A child has the choice to dress in a soldier uniform, smart attire or as a sailor. This child-like innocence, a certain naivety and purity that the sailor uniform can provide- that is what we’re going for.
