Willy Chavarria Spring/Summer 2027

Staged at the Espace Niemeyer, headquarters of the French Communist Party, Willy Chavarria presented his Spring/Summer 2027 collection, Comunión. Once again, the New York-based designer looked to the community. The runway reflected that spirit through its casting. Romeo Beckham, NBA star Jordan Clarkson of the New York Knicks, Spanish singer Judeline and Mexican artist El Bogueto all walked, reinforcing Chavarria’s tradition of bringing together figures from fashion, music and sport. Watching from the front row were Maluma, Lucky Love, filmmaker Gaspar Noé, designer Haider Ackermann and footballer Jonathan Dos Santos, alongside an eclectic mix of creatives.
Tailoring remained the foundation, but silhouettes felt less rigid than previous seasons. Not shy of color, we saw less bold primaries than previous seasons, opting instead for shades of lilac, celestial blue, copper green, vivid reds, while floral motifs and nostalgic prints drew inspiration from domestic interiors and family heirlooms.
“Each garment, each bag, every shoe was designed with warmth. There is a sense of joy in seeing the light. We realize that history has shown us what power we hold when we come together to do good. This is the joy and inspiration that each look holds. We are confident, kind and tough,” stated Willy in the show notes.
The show also marked the runway debut of the first chapter of Willy Chavarria’s collaboration with UGG. Unisex footwear, including the Guard Boot, Biker, and Hotel Chavarria Slipper, reimagined the Californian brand’s familiar silhouettes through Chavarria’s tougher, biker- inspired lens while maintaining UGG’s signature sense of comfort. Overall, Willy proved once again that fashion can be both beautifully crafted and deeply meaningful.
