wetheknot Unveils Its Fall/Winter 2026 Drop
by Adriano Batista
wetheknot has released its new Fall/Winter 2026 drop, shot in Cova do Vapor. The brand admits the collection wasn’t inspired by the place, despite its affinities with it. Cova do Vapor is a fishermen’s village on Lisbon’s south bank, where the Tagus meets the Atlantic. Its constructions were made by its inhabitants, giving it a chaotic charm: narrow, labyrinthine streets, tiled houses, odd-shaped gates and doors, plants scattered across small backyards and balconies, and a tightly woven community of all ages. The brand describes it as a ready-made in full colour.
Rather than serving as inspiration, the village became the perfect setting for the shoot. The pieces connect to the place through a sense of inconsistency, expressed in the combination of different textures and materials, from the speckled yarn in the knits to the ripstop fabric of the new bag. That resourcefulness shows in how elements from previous collections have been repurposed. Woven labels on the Zip-up Cardigan, Relaxed Pleated Pants, and Essential Knitted Jumper, along with fabrics used for the Recycled Drawstring Crescent Bag, are carried over and reworked. Leftover yarn from last year’s production was used to weave the Essential Knitted Beanies, extending the life of existing materials and creating continuity between collections.
