Anthony Vaccarello, the creative director of Saint Laurent, is presenting a new exhibition. It is dedicated to the artist Man Ray and will be held at the Saint Laurent Rive Droite space in Paris.

The exhibition is called Objets de mon Affection. It opens on January 16, 2026, and will showcase a rarely seen selection of Man Ray’s iconic creations.

Man Ray, born Emmanuel Radnitzky, was an American artist who became a French citizen. He was a key figure in the Dada and Surrealist movements. He worked across painting, photography, and film, and is famous for his “rayograph” technique.

The exhibition focuses on his objects. It will include works like Red Hot Iron (1966), a sculpture that transforms a common iron, and Boîte à Lettres (1965), which uses a letterbox and ceramic letters to explore communication. These pieces reflect Man Ray’s surrealist approach, turning everyday items into poetic, ambiguous forms.

To mark the exhibition, Vaccarello has reinterpreted one of Man Ray’s own sculptures. The piece is called Haltères / Square Dumbbells, originally from the 1930s. It is an ironic work that turns a tool for physical effort into a purely decorative object.

Vaccarello’s version comes in two editions: matte black metal and mirror polished. Each one is individually signed, presented in a luxury case, and sold as a collectible artwork.
