Toni Pons, a handcrafted footwear brand that specializes in espadrilles, and Ohne Project, a company that reinterprets barefoot footwear for city life, have teamed up for a new collaboration. The partnership comes from a shared origin: the Mediterranean. That connection translates into a shared understanding of design, materials, and lifestyle.

The capsule collection is a line of unisex barefoot espadrilles designed for daily wear. The two brands have taken a Mediterranean footwear icon and reinterpreted it from a barefoot perspective, creating the first barefoot espadrilles on the market.

The collection includes two unisex models. The first is the 026 JUTE model, a nautical-style design in vegan suede with laces. It comes in mint and sand. The second is the 080 JUTE model, a more casual cotton sneaker-style option with laces. It comes in four summery colors. Both models include the features of barefoot footwear. There is a wide last that gives more room for the toes. There is a flat sole, also called zero drop, that keeps the foot in a natural position. There is also a flexible sole that allows the foot to move more freely. The designs are hand-stitched in Spain using traditional techniques.
