TOM FORD introduces a new fragrance called Figue Érotique. The scent is built around the journey of the fig, from its green beginning to its ripe, sensual peak. Perfumer Shyamala Maisondieu describes being drawn to the Kadota fig for its mystery and its raw sensuality. She notes the fruit’s fleeting annual appearance, which requires anticipation.

The fragrance aims to capture the moment just before the fig bursts. It opens with the electric energy of fig leaf accord, violet leaf absolute, and galbanum. Bergamot vert and mandarin essence add a vibrant, citrus burst. Rose berries introduce a spicy note to complement the fig. The heart of the scent is an exclusive Kadota fig accord. This accord highlights the fig’s floral opulence and a unique saline essence, a blend of sweet and salty. This richness is deepened by a Muscovado accord, which adds a dark, sugary aroma with a hint of licorice, making the fig more resinous and nectar like. The base brings warmth and earthiness. Ylang ylang absolute provides a radiant, floral exhalation. This is grounded by a trio of vetiver, patchouli, and benzoin, creating a lingering fusion of wood and resin that wraps around the fig accord.

The bottle’s design evokes the dark, rich interior of a ripe fig, with pale violet accents contrasting against a deep jewel tone, inspired by the Muscovado accord.
