Reclined chairs, SYSTEM umbrellas, and a sand runway created a summer atmosphere at SYSTEM’s Spring/Summer 2027 show at Paris Fashion Week. The collection, SEEKER: The Journey, starts with Hermann Hesse’s novel Knulp’s character, a man who kept his style and elegance while spending his life on the road. A nomad, someone who has the inner confidence to find freedom in being alone, and for this reason, SYSTEM explores inner journeys of quiet movements. Relaxed and flowing silhouettes create that effortless feeling, becoming a midpoint between the structure in tailoring and softness. The brand stepped away from the idea of perfection and polished beauty to lean towards traces left by emotion that are organically created through movement. The show took place at the Musée des Archives Nationales, a historic place where there’s an independent, quiet scene in the middle of the Marais district’s dynamism in Paris, where light changes throughout the day just as our identities are shaped with the time we spend on the road.
