SUOT has partnered with Valencian artist Carlos Sáez on a sculptural installation inspired by Pepita, the collection exploring matter in its most essential state. The project is presented at the TOUS store in Valencia, coinciding with a new drop that expands the original collection with new jewellery pieces. Launched in 2026, Pepita began as an exploration of organic forms, with irregular volumes and imperfect surfaces that celebrate the beauty of process and constant transformation.

For this project, SUOT invited Sáez to reinterpret the Pepita concept through his own sculptural language. The result explores the intersection of the digital and the artisanal through varying scales, materials, and fabrication systems. “From the beginning, I was interested in understanding the natural, the technological, and the virtual not as separate worlds, but as different states of the same matter,” said Sáez. “For this collaboration, I wanted to approach each sculpture as an exercise in translation between materials, processes, and languages.”

The installation, titled Pepitas, consists of three sculptures made of concrete and finished with chrome surfaces, establishing a dialogue between weight and reflection, stability and change. The concrete lends a geological presence, while the chrome turns the surface into a living element that reflects its surroundings. “That tension is precisely what keeps the piece alive,” Sáez notes.

Sáez pursues a multidisciplinary practice where sculpture, technology, and contemporary manufacturing converge. “I view sculpture as a process of transformation. Rather than seeking a definitive form, I am interested in everything that happens along the way.” The collaboration joins a track record that includes projects with Jeanne Friot, ABRA, and the MOCO Museum. The sculptures are on display at the SUOT store in Valencia.
