Pitti Uomo 101 has taken over the Fortezza da Basso for four full days, but in reality, it has taken over the city. In reference to the impact the biannual event has on the Tuscan city, Mayor Sara Funaro explained at the inauguration of the 110th edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo, “Pitti is an entity that is part of the history and identity of our city. Because Florence is beauty, art, culture, and architecture, but it is also manufacturing, a distinctive feature of our region, and it is fashion, because it is a sector that represents one of the main drivers of our economy”.

Beyond the Fortezza, Pitti people made their way to the Teatro del Maggio for Danish brand Sunflower at sunset, after hours at Sant’Orsola for DSM Kei Ninomiya, and Teatro della Pergola for Special Guest Simone Rocha’s menswear runway debut. One of my favourite parts of Pitti is exploring the spaces in the city, which is Pitti Uomo’s added allure.
