Stone Island Sound Presents a Special Edition Vinyl of Navy Blue’s “Sir Render”

Stone Island has announced the release of a special edition vinyl of Sir Render, the latest album by Navy Blue, the musical project of Sage Elsesser.
Originally released on 5 June, Sir Render is one of Elsesser’s most introspective works, an album rooted in spiritual inquiry and personal transformation. Across 15 tracks, it moves through grief, resilience, duality, and self-acceptance, using the recurring metaphor of a knight confronting internal conflict. The project features contributions from Earl Sweatshirt, Armand Hammer, Mike Shabb, and the late Ka, alongside production from The Alchemist, Jason Wool, Shungu, and Elsesser himself. Narration from James Earl Jones deepens its meditation on identity.
The Stone Island Sound edition translates that vision into a physical object, inviting a slower engagement with the work. The artwork, created by longtime collaborator Liam Macrae, is structured as a diptych. The first image features a custom bust of Elsesser as an archetypal figure, wearing a chainmail top that evokes protection and internal armour. The second presents a custom shield inscribed with the Stone Island stellina logo. Together, the two images balance vulnerability and defence.
