Song for the Mute and adidas Running have launched RUN02, the second chapter of their creative partnership. Where the first collection was an invitation to take a first breath, RUN02 explores a newly formed devotion to the practice, shifting focus from the awkward grace of beginning to the rhythm of staying within it.

RUN02 is a tribute to endurance in its most poetic sense, not performance as spectacle but the rituals that gather around movement. Designed for the runner who moves with intuition, it celebrates early mornings before sunrise, clothes drying after a run in the rain, the familiar route home. The collection’s ethos, “Run In Love,” proposes that movement can be motivated by affection rather than achievement. The footwear offering expands across two silhouettes. The Supernova Rise 3 SFTM reimagines everyday running in antiquated off-white and earthen khaki, with irregular hand-drawn graphics and a handwritten Song for the Mute mark by creative director Lyna Ty. The Adizero Evo SL SFTM weaves SFTM’s sketches directly into the mesh, with a custom unevenly dyed upper and illustrated insoles depicting dragonflies and wild botanicals.

The apparel is built as a layering system that moves between running, recovery, and everyday life. The palette deepens into autumnal tones, balancing chalk whites and deep carbons with espresso, olive drab, faded lilacs, and stone tones. Graphics appear printed and embroidered, with phrases like “First Breath,” “Run In Love,” and “Simple Joy” scattered throughout. Inner layers include featherlight running shorts and washed tanks, while intermediate layers arrive in sun-bleached cotton jerseys and gridded waffle tops with structural overlock stitching. The embroidery is designed to pill after washing, mimicking years of wear and the feel of old running club gear.
