Simone Rocha Spring/Summer 2027 at Pitti Uomo

Pitti Uomo 110’s special guest, Irish designer Simone Rocha, presented her first dedicated menswear runway show, which follows several seasons of showing men’s looks alongside her womenswear collections in London. For Spring/Summer 2027, she showed at the historic Teatro della Pergola, which provided a stunning backdrop for her ongoing exploration of masculinity.
“I think fashion is a living, breathing thing that changes all the time,” Simone told us before the show. The setting of the historic Florentine theatre played a significant role in shaping the collection. References to costume, performance and travel appeared through decorative embellishments, souvenir-inspired prints and richly textured fabrics, including Venetian wool, Irish linen and Broderie Anglaise.
Traditional menswear staples including tailoring, rugby shirts, workwear-inspired pieces and Oxford shoes were reimagined through the designer’s distinctive lens. Pearls, floral motifs, lace inserts and embroidered details softened familiar silhouettes, while aprons, kilts and backless jackets challenged conventional ideas of masculine dress. Throughout the collection, Rocha juxtaposed delicacy with practicality, creating looks that felt both romantic and grounded.
While unmistakably Simone Rocha, the collection signaled a confident step forward for her menswear that it can stand on its own within the international menswear calendar.
