The new ARNODEFRANCE collection is called “Silence Taught Me Violence.” After last year’s debut shows in Paris and the push to articulate the label’s identity to a wider audience, founder Arno has pulled the volume down. The need to be seen, he notes, softened. What replaced it feels heavier, more grounded.

Silhouettes move closer to the body now. Still protective and structured, but more contained. Volumes are reduced. Proportions are steadier. The garments feel less demonstrative. Strength appears through restraint rather than scale. Through what is held, not displayed.

Material choices follow the same thinking. Calfskin leather appears for the first time, treated as functional and lived-in rather than decorative. Denim takes a stronger role, developed in a heavier weight and aged entirely by hand. Marks and wear are added slowly, as a result of process rather than effect.

The collection stays rooted in organic materials. Cotton, leather, natural finishes. The waxed canvas introduced last year returns, keeping its leather-like character while the cut refines and the color shifts toward a worn vintage black. Moleskin cotton is new, chosen for its softness and durability, a fabric tied to workwear and repetition, valued for how it evolves through use.
