SF1OG Spring/Summer 2027

SF1OG‘s Spring/Summer 2027 collection explored the duality of good and bad, questioning whether these concepts are ever as absolute as they appear. The investigation moved through art, power, ritual, and the body.
A key reference was Luca Guadagnino’s Suspiria (2018), where dance becomes a medium for control and hidden authority. Evil rarely presents itself in obvious forms; it can exist within institutions and traditions that often possess a compelling beauty. That tension between attraction and discomfort ran throughout the collection. The work of photographer Ari Versluis, known for capturing people dressed in near-identical ways, added another layer, evoking ideas of conformity and the visual codes through which society defines what is considered acceptable. The uncompromising attitude of 1980s and 1990s rock and punk culture also surfaced, alongside elements of religious dress and ceremony, not as direct quotations but as subtle cues.
The soundtrack, created by Gavriel August, drew from the traditional Easter processions of Seville, shaping a soundscape with a strong emotional presence that supported the collection’s exploration of ritual and ambiguity.
