Saint Laurent Babylone presents Daydreaming of him, a photography exhibition by French-Australian photographer Christopher Barraja, curated by Anthony Vaccarello. The show runs from 3 June to 13 September at the Paris space.

Barraja was born in 1996 and works between Paris and Nice, a city he sees as a destination designed for escaping reality. He studied photography and video at the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris, where he developed his graduation project De Chlore et de Rosé, later published by Fisheye Éditions in 2023. The project earned him the Picto Prize and led to his selection as a finalist for the 37th Hyères Festival in 2022.

His images move through identity, memory, and desire, shaped by Mediterranean landscapes and the contemporary queer scene. He works in the space between softness and strangeness, intimacy and voyeurism, letting light and materiality carry the weight. Rather than explicit exposure, Barraja leans on suggestion, allowing the viewer to project meaning onto what is left unsaid. His photographs hold a sense of nostalgia and ambiguity, where the everyday becomes charged with something harder to name.

All exhibited artworks will be available for sale. A limited edition of one hundred numbered fanzine copies, signed by the artist, will also be available for purchase.
