PUMA is reintroducing the Homura, a running shoe that originally launched during the brand’s Y2K era. It returns on 16 May 2026, available through PUMA.com, flagship stores, and selected stockists.

The Homura leans into a bold, high-contrast palette that recalls early 2000s road running. A bright orange upper is outlined with black contours, with yellow and turquoise hits across the silhouette. The sharp linework and vivid color capture the experimental energy of its moment.

First released as part of the PUMA Complete franchise, a series of brightly colored performance runners, the Homura was developed as a training model with targeted midsole cushioning. It debuted alongside a lightweight model called the Fuga under the “Japan Racers” project. A Japanese character on the tongue and footbed translates to flame or blaze, referencing the shoe’s name and the era’s bold approach to performance footwear. The original was built on running technology like PUMALITE tooling, with a visual language shaped by speed and precision. This reissue brings that function-rooted identity into a modern context.
