PUMA has joined forces with Japanese brand noir kei ninomiya to transform the Speedcat into a sculptural exploration of craftsmanship and form. First shown on the Paris Fashion Week runway in early 2026, the collaboration fuses the shoe’s automotive DNA with noir kei ninomiya’s experimental construction techniques, offering a new expression of one of PUMA’s most recognisable silhouettes.

The low-profile Speedcat is enveloped by translucent floral appliqués that spread across the vamp, giving the design a tactile, three-dimensional quality. The result sits somewhere between footwear and object, reflecting the brand’s ongoing interest in pushing materials and shape. The collaboration arrives in three monochromatic colourways: black, white, and red. Black remains central to noir kei ninomiya’s identity, while white and red reference the cherry blossoms that mark the arrival of spring in Japan, a recurring source of inspiration in Kei Ninomiya’s work.
