Prada has released its 2026 Re-Nylon campaign, starring actors Benedict Cumberbatch and Letitia Wright. They appear in dialogue with the sea, which serves as more than a backdrop. It becomes a protagonist, a constant presence highlighting human action and its effects.

Alongside the images, Cumberbatch and Wright feature in two documentary films by National Geographic CreativeWorks. Prada has collaborated with them as storytelling partner for the fourth year. The films explore the real-world impact of the SEA BEYOND project, with locations spanning from Oahu in Hawai’i to the Izu Peninsula and Kamakura in Japan.

The Re-Nylon collection launched in 2019 and covers accessories and ready-to-wear. It uses regenerated nylon made from recycling and purifying plastic collected from landfills, textile fiber waste and the ocean. The process involves depolymerization and re-polymerization. The resulting textile is circular. It can be recycled, reinvented and recreated.

The collection represents a fundamental shift from virgin nylon to regenerated material across all Prada creations. Nylon first entered the luxury universe through Miuccia Prada in the 1970s. It has always stood for the radicalism at the heart of the brand’s creative processes.

Since July 2023, one percent of proceeds from the Prada Re-Nylon for SEA BEYOND Collection benefit SEA BEYOND, a project by Prada Group in partnership with the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO. The project focuses on education and ocean literacy, raising awareness among young generations around the world.
